Ambrose Lucian Maritus, Lord of Gwencalon
The only son of Sara and Julius Maritus became a marine at a young age. He married Justina Soranus and with her had four children - Grear, Ysora, Portia and Leon. His parents were killed when he was 28, leaving him to take on the Lordship of Gwencalon. He controlled the trade network of Gwencalon with an iron hand and, in time, his son Grear's assistance.
On May 17th, 506, Ambrose Maritus passed away after a short, shocking illness. After lying in state at Gwencalon, he was laid to rest beside his wife in the crypts beneath the Maritus villa. He was given all honors due a lord of his station, and great honor from the people of Gwencalon besides. A true son of Guardians, he was buried with sword and shield at hand: a fine longsword forged and gifted by Gwencalon's master smith for the occasion, and a platinum, tricorner shield, with the Maritus crest in gold and ruby, engraved on the back: "With devotion to all that is Light and truth, a man may face any fate unflinching. Thus did I live, and thus do I enter eternity."

Until his wife of fifteen years passed away, he was married to Justina Soranus. To the end, he was content with his widowhood, despite attempts by his daughter to suggest that he should remarry.
