0 AG. The beginning of modern history.
- The Champion rises from the dust of the Coliseum and, with the aid of Providence, creates the Vortex into which he sends the Demon Overlords, capturing the Lord and his minions within what is dubbed 'The Gateway'. To protect The Gateway, the Champion severs the land, forming two Islands from the one. Upon the new island is housed: 'The Breath of Imperius,' the island given the name 'Mists' for the fog banks that rise from the Breath to cover the land.
1 AG. The Champion is given the title Keeper of the Gate.
- The Keeper raises the castle from the stone and the Gate is hidden deep within the granite bowels of the island. Crossroads Village is founded at the base of the Emperor's castle. Ground is broken to fashion an outer wall to protect the castle and The Gate.
8 AG.
- The outer wall of the castle is completed. The village is established as a major port of call and those who serve the Keeper come to populate the main island. The people of the small empire trade with its closest neighbor, Tyr.
10 AG.
- Mists experiences widespread problems maintaining crops, and herds of animals shrink due to a large number of stillbirths. Sensing a pending inability to remain self-sustaining and provide food to the Gateway Isle, the people of Mists send a contingent to the Keeper requesting his aid. The Keeper raises the Isle of 'Green Fields' at the farthest point from its sister island. Many of the people of Mists depart the plague-ridden land, taking with them those plants and creatures that were yet to be affected by illness. On Green Fields, the healthy establish a new farming community. The Keeper is given the title Emperor of the Gateway Isles.
- At age 30, the Emperor takes to wife Lady Caroline, making her Empress of the Isle of Gateway. The mother to the Champion, Lyriana, is given the title Dowager Empress. Emperor Sebation weds his sister, Princess Danielle, to Sir Lawrence, his First Knight and closest friend.
- In the late autumn, Empress Caroline gives birth to Prince Rourke Caprios, dying in childbirth.

- Tyr craftsman move to Green Fields and, with their aid, the first shipment to the other islands is launched via ship, supporting the need for food to Gateway and Mists.
- Upon Mists, a young man sick with disease travels to the center of the island in hopes of saving his people. Upon his return, he brings with him the power to transform the survivors, giving them immunity to the fog as well as the gift of magic.
18 AG. Emperor Sebation takes to wife Lady Camilla.
22 AG. Princess Tasha Caprios is born.
24 AG. Prince Lysander Caprios is born.
30 AG.
- The Champion, Sebation Caprios, dies at the age of 50; his heir, Rourke, becomes Emperor, Champion and Keeper at age 20.
- Two feuding factions of warriors bring war to Gateway Island, the factions causing strife between the peoples of Gateway. In order to bring peace once again to the region, the new Keeper raises the Isle of Guardian, sending the warriors to the land to settle both the island and their differences. The war is fought on this new soil and during this time, the ores of metal and building blocks of stone are founded. Once the war reveals its winner, the Keeper names a Duke of Guardians and Duchess of Green Fields.
- Emperor Rourke weds Arabelle Mason, a daughter of one of the Tyrian craftsmen who moved to Green Fields. They celebrate the birth of their son, Prince Jordan, seven months after the wedding.
35 AG. Guardians begins shipping metal ore and stone.
- The first metal ores of Guardians are shipped from the isle in the form of weapons and tools for farming. The first mines and quarries produce ore and stones and shipments are made to Gateway, Mists, Tyr, and other neighboring lands.
50 AG.
- A split occurs between the factions of warriors and intellectuals on Guardians, the latter interested in breaking the Empire's reliance on outside lands for crafts and scientific knowledge. The difference in beliefs in what is important (physical or intellectual) causes fighting and minor skirmishes between tribes on the island. A faction of intellectuals split from the main tribe, setting up their own area on Guardians. Within months, a vein of iron ore is located in the area and when the Duke orders the intellectuals to leave the land for the miners, the fighting intensifies. A young woman, Shannah Rose, daughter of the leader of the new movement, travels to Gateway to request aid from the Emperor.
51 AG. Prince Jordan Caprios weds.
- At the age of 21, Prince Jordan Caprios weds Shannah Rose and, in celebration of their marriage, Emperor Rourke raises the isle of Draught for her people. A girl child of this union is born within the year, Princess Allanah Caprios.
53 AG. Jordan Caprios succeeds his father as Emperor.
- Emperor Rourke Caprios passes away in his sleep at age 53. Jordan becomes the Emperor. Six months later, the next Keeper is born to Jordan and Shannah: Prince Maximillian Caprios.
55 AG. The Academy of Agriculture is founded on Green Fields.
56 AG. Prince Demetri Caprios is born.
60 AG. Draught is recognized as a duchy, and the first duke named from House Claremont.
- Illness attacks the main isle and six-year-old Prince Maximillian is struck with it, death imminent. The people of Draught send a newly created herbal potion which saves Prince Maximillian's life. In thanks, the Emperor names a Duke of Draught and the island becomes a duchy within the Empire.
75 AG. The Academy of Imperius is founded on Mists in the Fang of Imperius, a mysterious building from the previous era.
76 AG. Prince Maximillian Caprios weds.
- Prince Maximillian Caprios weds Lady Adora Selenius of Mists, a young elemental mage who has control of water.
78 AG. Prince Thomas Caprios is born to Prince Maximillian and Princess Adora.
81 AG. Prince Michael Caprios is born to Prince Maximillian and Princess Adora.
86 AG. Empire standard of trade and currency established.
- Each island duchy having set its own costs for their produce raise prices; the competition between the islands to be the richest, causing strife and hardship for the less wealthy citizens. Demonstrations and in-fighting result and from the chaos rise the Merchants and Factors Guilds. Purchases are made via the Factors and the Merchants Guild settles the system of economy based on trade and coin exchange.
88 AG. Prince Sterling Caprios is born to Prince Maximillian and Princess Adora.
89 AG. Emperor Jordan dies at the age of 60, Prince Maximillian claiming the throne at the age of 36.
90 AG. Empress Adora dies.
- The Empress is killed in a boating accident, leaving behind the Emperor and his three sons.
91 AG.
- Prince Thomas, at the age of 13, dies of a lung disease. The empire is thrown into chaos as all eyes turn to Prince Michael in hopes that Providence will aid the land and another Keeper will develop before the death of Emperor Maximillian.
- A powerful mage steps forward, taking command of the mages and forming a battle contingent in preparation for a possible war with the demons. This mage, Mogur, is titled Imperius and ever after the most powerful mage is given the title Mogur Imperius in honor of this mage.
Mogur Imperius travels to Gateway, taking up the protection of the Prince with magical charms and sight.
- The Imperial Guard forms and is sent to Gateway by the brother of the Duke of Guardians to protect the present Keeper from any harm while the people wait to see if Prince Michael will become the Keeper. These Knights swear fealty to the Emperor, vowing to protect him with their lives. Jacob Barca, the First Knight, is given command of the Imperial Guard.
95 AG.
- The Academy of Metalworking is founded; Coliseum is rebuilt and the first Tournament is held, hosted by Guardians.
- The Imperial Cousin, Lord Visarion Caprios is named Imperial Advisor. He takes up the protection of the young Prince, remaining near him for the next several years, all waiting to see if he can manipulate the currents.
