Background
The daughter of Duchess Aileana's uncle Copernicus, Elena Ashlan has been well educated in the subject of veterinary science. With her education coming to a conclusion just recently, she has been occasionally seen around Court: not actually a noble, she apparently keeps up a close friendship with her cousin, the Duchess. She helps out freely with the animals in the Duchy, as her duties permit. She has recently taken on a position as the Professor of Animal Studies at the University on Gateway Isle. She's notorious for keeping a group of students entertained as she instructs; humour is always a feature in her lessons.

- April 29. 506 -- The Virtues Auction begins, to which Elena has submitted herself as a donor!
- April 22, 506 -- Elena competes in the Spring Festival Tournament and loses to Baron Ethos. At the conclusion of the bout, she hugs the Baron and gropes his bottom! (See the complete log here).
- February 11, 506 -- Elena arrives on Gateway to visit with her cousin, after completing several grueling extension courses at Asheart University (on diseases; their symptoms and treatment in horses).

- Elena is the cousin of Duchess of Green Fields, her father Copernicus being the Duchess' uncle.
- Elena has been seen in the company of The Professor of Practical Theories - supposedly they are working on inter-departmental studies.
- At a recent party thrown by Lord Heir Apparent of Apple Bluff she both arrived and departed the festivities in his company.
Trivia
- Elena is known to be an excellent singer, apparently having refined her Art for over a decade.
- Before dawn most days, Elena goes for a ride out into the country - she claims it is to 'catch the sun', but she frequently returns tired, sweaty and even bruised. She's given no explanation for this.
