Ethan gives a faint smile, shaking his head. He begins to slide up the sleeve of his shirt, revealing a spattering of burns and scars, "I am still alive, yes. However, history tends to be written so orderly. In fact, it is quite chaotic."

Ethan Leopold Locke is the eldest son of Sasha Marie Lancaster and Leopold Lee Locke. He was born at Miller's Isle on the field while his father was experimenting with explosive compounds for weapons testing. His mother, naturally, was quite upset with this turn of events and nearly left his father over it. However, Leopold had charm, and he promised to give up his testing and go into the field of experimental investing. This turned out to be an amazingly good business move, and the Locke family soon became the premiere investors for inventors of Miller's Isle.

The Locke family was always considered the more eccentric shadow to the political Lancasters they shared their blood with. They usually stayed out of the spotlight, speaking through their donations rather than their presence. However, this didn't keep them from amassing a like fortune and a like reputation. To most inventors of Miller's Isle, the name Locke has come to mean opportunity.

So it was the Ethan grew up to be a young genius in mechanics. He never really took much time to pursue his own inventions, rather he was adept at tweaking what had already been made and improving on old designs. His father soon began to use him as a partner of sorts. Bringing him along to investment meetings to go over the products and suggest improvements or new angles to use it by. Ethan loved it. In fact, he turned out to be a lot like his old father, than the one he grew up with. He didn't mind getting his hands dirty, working on the field. His right arm is testament to this lifestyle. It is marred with scars from an explosion he was caught in earlier in life.

When the Lancaster siblings died in that fated explosion. Ethan became one of the candidates the Isle looked to as a potential Baron. With his father old and ailing, he was the richest and most powerful of the family. At first, he wasn't fond of this idea. However, as time went on, he came to accept it.

When the time came that he was named Baron, he was more than ready to take the position, happy to serve his Isle and Lands as needed. To this day, Ethan is always willing to listen to concerns, and lend a helping hand to any who need it. Be them citizens or not.

Ethan truly is a man of dual personalities. Not in a disorderly way, he merely keeps his work separate from his studies. In the public eye, Ethan is well mannered, orderly and very proper. However, once at home in his lab, a fiery passion escapes in his action and words. His demeanor becomes lighter, though his mind becomes more focused. Many people who happen to see him during his experiments may claim him eccentric, while those who see him in public would call him the proper gentleman.
