Background: Gregory was born the youngest of three children, having an older brother and sister to keep him firmly in his place. Whilst he was still a mere nipper of six, his family uprooted from Gateway to move to Green Fields, attempting to make a new life for themselves by running a shop. As he entered his seventh year, tragedy hit the family and the three children found themselves parentless when both mother and father died within days of each other. A brief attempt at continuing with the shop failed and his older brother relocated himself and siblings back to Gateway.
Fate was cruel though, and despite struggling to make ends meet, the older brother vanished one day quite unexpectedly. Gregory being only seven was never really aware of how or why, although he did repeatedly question his sister on the matter, to which she would patiently explain that he was just 'gone for a while'.
As Gregory has turned nine, he has become quite detached from a lot of the world around him, displaying peculiar behaviour, frequently standing in corners talking to imaginary friends. Ellie naturally is quite worried about him, he disappears for large stretches of time and can often be found down on the beach staring out across the water, humming.

Current Happenings and Events
After a series of events that left his sister Ellie miserable and quite unlike her usual self, Gregory has decided it is time he stopped being a bother to her and started perhaps trying to look after her instead. He was last seen on January 20, 506 in the dockyard talking about how he was going to be a 'proper pirate'. It is feared he has somehow managed to stow aboard one of the ships bound for the barrier, although there is also a chance he might just turn up on one of the islands as his sister did.
- After a search by Lady Ravelle Soranus, Gregory was found and sent to Ethos for training.
Personality
Relationships
- Ellie Clapton - Ellie is Gregory's older sister and often refers to him as her 'bother' rather than brother. Despite her almost constant scolding, Gregory adores her and would be quite lost without her. He doesn't mean to cause her problems and embarrassment ... really, he doesn't!
- Oscar - Oscar is Gregory's best friend, although nobody else seems able to see him, or even hear him. Gregory thinks everybody is mad and assumes they just don't approve of Oscar because he tends to lead Gregory astray a lot.
- Briony Marchora - Gregory has developed a bit of a crush on Briony after she helped him to capture a new rat following the escape of his previous one at the Isle of Ale, an unfortunate incident that didn't go down very well with either Ellie or the Duchess Aileana.
- Liam Conway - Gregory met Liam after he had been out collecting dried cow pats. One of the cows trod on his sword and broke it, much to Gregory's disgust. Taking it to the carpenter, the man was touched by the "Little Warrior" and offered to help him make a new one. Ellie is not amused at the thought of her brother getting a new weapon, however Gregory is very taken with Liam.
- Lazarus Karaganinas - Lazarus and Gregory met whilst Gregory was kicking a stone down the street. He offered to buy Gregory a new cloak to replace the pink skirt which he currently used. Gregory explained about his friend Oscar to the Lord and was very pleased when Lazarus told him that only a few special people had it within themselves to attract special friends.
- Aileana Ashlan - Gregory met the Duchess following an unfortunate incident where he lost his rat in the Isle of Ale. She gave him a choice of punishment or community service. He picked community service and so far it is going quite well.

The highlight of Gregory's fashion calender this year has been the acquisition of his sister's pink skirt. He was seen around town sporting it for a number of days until it was quite tattered and filthy. At this point he did consider returning it to Ellie, but whilst removing it, it was accidentally ripped in two and he now wears it as a cloak.
Greogory's first pet managed to escape whilst he was proudly showing it to Ellie in the Isle of Ale Tavern. His sister was mortified and when the Duchess asked for any information on whom had disrupted the place, Ellie saw no reason not to turn him in. He was, for a while afterwards, seen about town doing charitable service in penance at the Duchess' request.
