The following are a series of OOC Rules that are intended not to squelch RP, but to nourish it and make the environment of the Grinning Guardian more consistent. Thank you in advance for your adherence to these simple rules.

1) TS. Sex is obviously a huge -- if not the main -- component of the Grin's business model. If two players wish to engage in more explicit RP, however, we ask that you move the action upstairs to the whores' private rooms. This is especially true now that the Grin deals with other sorts of entertainment. The girls are free to solicit business at their whim downstairs, but they are all told upon hiring to keep their paying tricks upstairs.

2) Robbery & Damaging the Goods. One of Nadirah's main selling points to her whores is that they receive a certain amount of protection if they work for her. Attempting to rob or harm a whore WILL get you kicked out if you're caught, and there's a good chance that you will be beat up. Very possibly by one of the girls. The majority of the girls at the Grin are not nice or naïve, the bulk of them have eyes like hawks for people trying to screw them over, and a few have the skills and chutzpah to do something about it. You are thus warned.

3) The Bar. Bartenders tend the bar. They are under explicit orders to not give out free drinks without Naridah's go ahead. Even the whores have to pay for their own drinks, so no freebies without one of the Big Boys there.

4) Upstairs and Staff Hallway. All of these rooms are OFF LIMITS unless accompanied by one of the girls (upstairs) or a member of the Grinning Guardian staff (staff hallway). Any departure from this rule must be cleared by Nadirah prior to the scene.

5) Gambling, Cheating, and You. If you're brave enough to cheat, that's great. However, please keep the cheating to PCs who have a shot of catching you. Also, if you get caught, you stand equal chances of being tossed out on your ear or being offered a job. If Nadirah is not there to intervene, expect it to be 100% chance of the former.

6) Credit at the Grinning Guardian. At Nadirah's discretion, lines of credit for girls, drink, and gambling may be offered to regular customers in good standing. If you have not spoken to either of them, you do not have it. You may attempt to feign this when PC employees are present, but we advise not getting caught. Also? Girls who know better will probably rat you out, because they're gonna catch it if Nadirah finds out they knew and didn't do anything about it. She also gives rewards to the ones that feed him information. Better make sure you cover all your bases if you even attempt this.

The Grinning Guardian is hiring! Everyone from trollops to courtesans that couldn't quite cut it at the house of flowers and candy is welcome to come and audition for a position in the house.
