Persona
The seventh recognized son of Roi Michel Phillipe XII, Juste Chevalier du Soliel was born to a minor lady of the Court. As a recognized child of the Roi, Juste could have been a prince, but as being so far down the succession line, the title is mainly an honorific. However, as a first tier heir, Juste also did not ever want or have need for charity.
At the age of five, Juste was enrolled in the Royal Academy. Showing a natural proficency for the brush, the young boy was trained to become an artist, however he was also trained in diplomacy, music (piano), dance, and fencing. However, as the years progressed, the budding young man's talent with the brush became more appreciated and honed. At the age of 16, he earned the title 'Artiste' and entered into the stricter Grande Artiste program. As part of his training, he was also entered into the Royal Guard, as any child of the Roi has the option of doing.
As he entered into his teen years, Juste was also starting to follow in his father's footsteps in another way. By the time he was 17, he was known as a playboy in the court, having had numerous liaisons, but none that had stuck. That is until the Le Grande Ball in the fall that year. It was there that at the dance he was partnered with Melissande du Orianne. Melissande, the middle daughter of a minor noble family, was there as a favor to her older sister - accepting the date for her ill sibling. However, Juste became smitten with the young woman. And while they had many stolen moments, it seems that nothing developed between the two.
After that failing, Juste turned to a life that mirrored his father's in some ways, not settling down with one woman and had numerous affairs and flings, none of which ever seemed to approach the feelings he held for the one that he had lost. He also took up the finer things of life, including a healthy appetite for L'essence and cigars, as well as continuing his training in Artistry, Piano, and Diplomacy, not neccessarily always in that order. It is said that his studio back in Pais contains a painting of every lover he has ever taken, though noone has ever looked to confirm or deny such.
At the age of 25, Juste earned the title 'Grande Artiste', and with it, a commission into the Royal Guard at the rank of Captain, mainly as an honorific. While it seems that Juste has gotten over Melissa, continuing to carry on many relationships, some even carrying over to Gateway. He has also taken on a more generous nature, willing to serve out his father's blessings and wishes and to continue to live the good life, but at the same time, started to show the signs of wishing to travel abroad, in paticular, to Gateway.
Now, at 27, Juste gained his father's blessing and was christened as the new Ambassador to Gateway. Travelling with him, oddly enough, is Melissande - assigned to him by his very father.

Recent Events
Since the moment that Juste arrived on Gateway, he has attempted to make a splash. On behalf of his father, he delivered gifts to the Imperial Family, which included a pair of rare sea dragons for the Keeper to have as pets to breed.
Juste has participated in several events around Gateway, attempting to get to know his new home better and to immerse himself in the local culture and society.
With the coming of the first snows to Gateway of the fall, Juste had delivered Truffles to all of the nobility of Gateway - and then had the leftover truffles and dresses and boys outfits that were going out of style in Pais delivered to the Light House Orphanage.
Rumours
- Besides being skilled in the art of paint, it is rumoured that Juste can also play the piano with proficency.
- It was once thought that Juste proposed marriage to Melissande, and she turned him down. It was the only proposal he has ever been known to make.
- Juste's paintings are known to be very influential back home.
- It is rumored that the Roi sent Melissande with Juste to attempt to either strengthen their relationship or to keep him on the straight and narrow with her as his aide so he does not stray too far from his duties.
- Juste has a platinum membership with the House of Blushing Petals.
- It's pronounced 'zhoost'.
- While Juste can fence, there is rumor that he is not terribly good at it, something that Melissande likes to tease him at, as she serves as his sometimes trainer. There have been a number of times the two were caught mid-duel in the courtyards of Pais, much to her family's chagrin. They rather them duel another way!
- On the night of October 16, 505, it was heard that Juste opened the doors to the embassy and shouting joyously.
