History

The background of this foundling is likely to ever be a mystery, but her birthdate was guessed to be around March 27, 501. Someone apparently abandoned her in the Great Hall of the castle, and she was found by Emperor Rourke. Shortly after, the Imperial cousin Lord Vincente Caprios asked to keep her and be her guardian. With some misgivings, the Emperor agreed, and for quite a while Nina and Vincente were inseparable.

After Vincente's death in 502 defending the Keeper's life, his will requested Duke Regent Raziel Devonshire be appointed the child's guardian. Taken into the Duke and Duchess Regent's care, the child was raised as the Devonshires' own along with their son, Solomon.

Amiable and sweet-mannered, the foundling earned herself many admirers as she has blossomed from infancy into childhood. But she would never come to know her adoptive mother; Meredith died during the Convergence in the fires wracking the city, leaving behind her two children to the care of their adoptive father.

On 22 July in 505 A.G., Raziel Devonshire bequeathed the vacant seat of the baron of Dragon Lake upon Nina.
