Tyr is technically a monarchy, ruled by the Llafarge family, which can trace its blood line back to before written records. The monarch acts as head of state, and is also an important symbol of national unity. Despite the style, the monarchy has been essentially vestigial for almost one hundred and fifty years, holding a ceremonial position while the running of the empire is conducted by two citizen councils.

The current royal family was led by His Late Majesty Sean Llafarge and his wife Queen Dierdre Llafarge. Since the recent death in 504 of King Sean, their eldest child has taken the throne as Queen Sheridan I. Her king consort is a son of Pais de Leuvier's roi Michel Phillipe XII. For several years, the queen's heir was her younger brother, Prince Fergal. On October 1, 506, Queen Sheridan gave birth to a son. His traditional naming and coronation ceremonies took place a month later and Crown Prince Francis Sean Roderick Llafarge was officially presented to the people of Tyr in early November, 506, to much rejoicing.

Description

Long, golden blonde hair is done up in an elegant fashion, swept back from the front in a twisted bun and pinned with an assortment of various delicate jewels and pins. Fair, unblemished smooth skin covers her body, giving accentuation to hazel eyes that change depending on her mood, long black lashes, a small nose and full, peach-colored lips.

Today, the Queen is dressed elegantly, if regally. A corset of soft blue hugs her torso with silver hued laces tying up the back for a smooth contrast of her land's colors. One-inch straps go over her shoulders, keeping the corset well in place, as it shows off just a little cleavage, but not so much as to make it appear immmodest. Off the shoulder sleeves connect just under the arm to the corset's top edge, dropping white, see-through chiffon down her arms to drape all the way to just inches above the ground, making her movements flow ever the more gracefully, the material being in large 'bell' sleeves that the top pauses at her fingertips. Flowing from the corset's 'V' that hugs her waist is matching blue silk that falls straightly, but longer in the back to add to the grace of the dress itself. When she walks, peeks of matching blue slippers can be seen underneath.
