Tivar Branson Stavros
Background
- From a young age, Tivar took to the rougher games and talents and was schooled to be a warrior by his father and a house guard named Rowin. As Tivar grew and his skill grew, Tivar entered the Guard for more formal training. Since graduating, He's done personal bodyguard for several nobles, mostly near to home that led to his slowly growing desire to see more of the world. Tivar earned a fair number of scars for himself, each one a testament to a skirmish or ambush that protected his charge. His honor untainted, he's not lost his charge yet. His growing thoughts of moving on to bigger things had his father send word to Gateway and he corresponded with Jenoch about Tivar getting a position there in the city. It was worked out and Tivar moved on to the Gateway Isle. There, Tivar joined the city guard. A little extra position that Tivar makes use of, when needed.
Personality
- There's nothing like having a little fun in your duty. Tivar does his best to be the best he can, but when not on duty, Tivar tends to let down and make up for the lost time by seeking fun or entertainment. An honorable and loyal man, Tivar does his best to try not to go too far. Alas, he's human and mistakes have happened in the past. Ties into his flaws, a little too much fun from women and ale. A self starter, Tivar is the sort to go looking for trouble and then happily deal with it once found.
Likes
- This sort of goes without saying, but Tivar likes the finer things in life, as well as wine, women and the occasional song. Mind you, this is not in the correct order. A consummate flirt, Tivar loves to tease the ladies, more then he should at times. A filling hot meal and a pretty face do much to keep this young man in good spirits and speaking of? Bring on the ale!
Dislikes
- Paperwork, never been a fan of reports and the like. He's a man who prefers action. Nobles who abuse their power also get up Tivar's Ire, but he's not foolish enough to risk being arrested... most of the time. Cruel for cruelty's sake is another that gets up his anger levels. No love lost for thieves, either. Taking his things is a good way to get hurt or worse.
Merits
- Tivar follows orders and tries to do the right thing. An honorable man, Tivar won't take a bribe or allow harm to come to another if he can at all help it. Tivar will often champion someone in need of defending or honor, especially a woman, even a low commoner. A skilled warrior, Tivar pushes himself to improve his skill often.
Flaws
- Tivar has a strong vice to play Liar's Dice and will often gamble when he has the spare time. He'll often drink on his free time, but rarely to excess. Drinking with the boys of the guard however, has gotten him tossed out of a pub or two for being a bit disorderly. Tivar also has a thing for the ladies and will flirt them up, sometimes to excess, sometimes much farther should he already had drink in him. Not so much here, in Gateway. That was more when he was back home. However, people do fall back into bad habits.
Family
- Bran Morien - (458) - Lord and father. Landless lord, maintaining a small parcel for Lord Jenoch.
- Carowyn Morien - (463) - Lady and mother, still alive and a trained Healer.
- Viona Morien - (485) - Tivar's younger sister. Currently training to be a Healer just like her mother and still in school.
- Keldan Morien - (477) - Tivar's older brother and a Knight of the realm. No nonsense sort who takes duty very seriously.

Current Events
06/04/505 A.G. - Tivar arrives in Gateway, meets Ahnlana and watches Duke Phineas' wife give birth to her 6th child and newest daughter in the Isle of Ale tavern.
06/05/505 A.G. - Tivar meets his cousin Niome and runs into his cousin Jenoch at the Isle of Ale tavern. He also meets Baroness Briony, Sir Vaeldan, Isledis and Newt.
06/07/505 A.G. - While meeting Mathis and Baroness Khalani, Tivar is inadvertantly caught in an alchemical explosion and for 15 minutes or so is covered in blue spots and his hair grew over 3' in length. Not the worse part, her majesty the princess was witness to these events, much to Tivar's embarrassment. Thankfully Emmaline was willing to help cut the hair that did not return to normal.
