Personality

The black sheep of the Montaigu family, Tourmaline declined to further her magical career, instead turning her focus on a life as a jeweler. Although her family - Citrine in particular - disapproves, she has flourished, using her stance as a Journeyman Earth Mage to create some truly stunning jewelry pieces. She has set up shop in Gateway, and owns Opulent Opals, the local jewelry shop.

She has a rather intuitive sense about what jewels or designs a customer will like, often predicting or selecting them even before said customer does. Molly is known to greet someone with "Emeralds, you want emeralds!" instead of the more traditional "Hello". The woman is quite warm and friendly, and hard-working, nearly always found working at her desk on one piece or another.

Family of Sorcery's Crest

The Montaigu family has held the reclusive lands proudly, regardless of the essential uselessness of the land as far as raw materials and exports. They have been considered some of the warmest and genuine of people, even in a place as infamous as Moonshadow and the surrounding lands that many may consider more dubious in nature. While they are notoriously warm hosts to all who venture there, there are whispers about the family's obscure superstitions and bizarre mannerisms that each seem to exhibit in their own unique manner. There is a certain amount of pride, honor, duty and higher standard that many of the Montaigu family are said to hold themselves to, as is to be expected from the family who in many cases act as judges at the Dueling Pavilion.

Molly is a cousin to the Montaigu family, carrying the name and the reputation of the ruling lords.
