Trahearn Conway *

Trahearn Eadric Conway
The Baron of Trebachas, at the age of fifty, is the eldest of the seated barons of Guardian, though it is not only age that distinguishes him from his fellow barons. Trahearn Conway is acknowledged as one of the wisest lords of Guardian, devoid of pretentions and occasionally coarse and pointedly blunt in speech. Many attribute this to his rearing, in large part, in the household of a squire of his father's court, though nothing will incite the Baron's ire more than mention of that rumor.
Though the seat of Trebachas is in Tel Girade, that rare, domesticated area of Guardian, Trahearn cuts a more earthy figure, infinitely preferring giving a hand in the fields at harvest time than to spend his days signing writs and flouncing about at balls and fetes. A contemporary of Duke Damien Barca, he was always marked for steady support and close companionship of the man, the two having made fast friends as children.
Trahearn has infamously gone through six wives ... two dead in childbirth, two executed, and two dead of 'natural causes'. (The most recent was lost in the fens, with only her finger and wedding ring recovered: Trahearn is said to have buried the finger and ring in a full-sized tomb.) That's not even speaking of the myriad of mistresses over the years. It's said that he has children without number spread throughout his lands, though twenty-seven can confidently be numbered as legal and rightly claimed by the Baron. Notably, none of them have been named heir of Trebachas yet, as Trahearn prefers to stick to the old ways and let them all prove themselves as adults before he picks one out to take over after him.
On 12 November 505 A.G., the Duke and Duchess Guardians declared that Trahearn Conway had passed on and called for one month of official mourning.
