The world knows much about Vincente, and yet also little. He was raised in relative seclusion and anonymity away from court by his father, Prince Valin, and showed up at Gateway in July of 500 a few years after the death of his sire.
Vincente disappeared for weeks at a time from Gateway, vastly preferring wandering the isles, unknown and on foot, to life at court. He had a passion for music and art, a self-proclaimed bard, with the talent to match. Over the next couple of years he had many roles: lord, bard, ambassador, betrothed to a duchess, thief, and most of all, best friend to the Emperor.
He presided over the marriage of Rourke Caprios and Philomena Forester on February 23, 501. He would later imply the Empress took fertility potions after the birth of the Imperial Triplets, fueling much gossip.
In March 501, however, Prince Valin showed up at Crossroads alive and well, and shortly after that, much changed about Vincente. The fun-loving person disappeared into a withdrawn persona and magely garb, as a couple of the secrets of his past came out.
He was appointed as the Imperial ambassador to outside nations after the Barrier was lowered for the first time in two centuries. Accompanied by the Admiral Hasdrubal, he is gone for several months.
Tragically, Vincente died saving the Emperor's life in October 502. At the beach just beyond the imperial capital, he thwarted assassination attempt upon Rourke by by interposing himself, dying immediately.
Appearance
Vincente is clearly a creature of sunlight, any shadows about him well concealed within. Golden-blond hair is growing long enough to be caught in a small tie at the back of his neck, a few strands escaping to sift across his gaze. His brilliant emerald eyes tend towards lighthearted cheer, but an occasional glance warns of something sharper. Tanned, aristocratic features oft hold a seraphic smile that lacks pretense. Easy-going confidence is found in his tall form, his lean strength given more to speed than power.
Black leathers skim along his form, military in nature and accented with red markings. At either side of the high collar is a tiny emblem of a claw in bloodstone. A gem of that same is in one ear.
